Taking inspiration from their War Paint exhibition, Arabella joined an expert panel to discuss how art, historically and today, influences public perceptions of the army.
Artists have used the army as a subject for hundreds of years, for numerous reasons. Their works have influenced public opinion about the army - sometimes glorifying battles and romanticising soldiering, or revealing the human suffering and reality of warfare.
